How to Clean Internet Explorer 7 Cache Folders

Often referred to as the cache, the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a kind of travel record of the items you have seen, heard, or downloaded from the Web, including images, sounds, Web pages, even cookies. Typically these items are stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
Storing these files in your cache can make browsing the Web faster because it usually takes your computer less time to display a Web page when it can call up some of the page's elements or even the entire page from your local Temporary Internet Files folder.
You definitely need to perform an Internet Explorer clean up regardless if you are running IE5, IE6 or IE7.

Follow these 7 steps to clean Internet Explorer 7 cache files:
- Open Internet Explorer 7
- At the top of the screen, click on Tools.
- In the Tools menu, click on Internet Options...

If you do not see the tools menu hold down the alt and t key on the keyboard.
- Choose the General tab in the Internet Options window. Find the Temporary Internet Files section. Click on Delete.

- A Delete Browsing History window will appear. Under Browsing history, click Delete...


- A verification screen will then come up. Click Yes to delete the files.

- When this is finished, you can click Close, then click OK on the Internet Options window, this will return you to your web page.
