How to Clear the History In Windows Media Player
Windows Media Player automatically keeps track of the files you've recently played, listing them in the player's File menu. Anybody opening your Windows Media Player can see a list of the latest files. If you want to clear this history files or you don’t want to store this history file use the following procedure.
Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, click More Options

Now you need to click the Privacy tab.You can use one of the following options.To remove the existing lists, click Clear History click on apply and ok.

To prevent the lists from being stored in the future, clear the Save file and URL history in the Player check box click on apply and ok.

To clear the list of files that are displayed in the Open dialog box, empty the list of recently used documents folder on your computer.
An other way on clearing Windows Media Player history
Open your Registry Editor (Run > type regedit) and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\
Player\RecentFileList
For Files:
Delete the RecentFileList sub-key.
For Streamed Content:
Delete the RecentURLList sub-key.
In the end, exit the Registry Editor, and restart your computer.
That will clean your history for WMP. But if you don’t want to delete the complete history, then delete individual entries from the right pane. That will help you get rid of the files that you don’t want to see in the Recent File list.
