What is Zyncos?

Zyncos is a browser hijacker that is usually installed without user consent or knowledge. Zyncos changes Internet Explorer default home and search pages. It may display advertisements in various forms including Pop-up Ads, Pop-Under Ads, Button Links, Taskbar Bubbles, and/or other forms. It also sends Internet Explorer to unsolicited, mostly pornographic web sites without asking for user permission. Zyncos may cause a slow internet connection as well due to the increased usage of bandwidth. Replication is not common with Zyncos. It is able to secretly update itself via the Internet.
